Hello it's the Dopey's! We are in LAS VEGAS today! After having a pancake breakfast by the Grumpy's AND sleeping in late (7 AM) - we had a great start to our day before leaving the Grand Canyon and heading to Vegas. We were able to sit with our groups and practice for our upcoming chant challenge. We were able to take showers and dress up for a night on the town. Once arriving, Ms. V and the counselors led us to Ceasar's Palace for a photo op inside the Forum shops! After all 60+ of us meandered through the extravagant casino, we were able to go with our friends and have a yummy dinner and desserts from all over the city! Many of us explored the beautiful hotels and saw all the unique architecture and art, while others traveled all the way to the other end of the strip to New York, New York to take on the famous rollercoaster! We were able to visit the expensive stores of Vegas, and visit the more affordable ones, making purchases at the Hershey store and the Coca-Cola store!
Not only was today a fantastic day because we got to travel to Las Vegas, but it was also Carson's 17th birthday! She received Grand Canyon post cards signed by all the participants and a special gift from staff as well. We are so happy we were able to celebrate her birthday with her on our trip and hope we made it the best one yet!
After our time in Las Vegas came to an end, we loaded to bus and van for an overnight drive to Santa Monica beach and pier! We are so excited to finally be in CALIFORNIA and we cannot wait for all the adventures that come our way!
