HEY ALL!! Sleepys here and we are Logan Jones, Dakota Hooks, Samantha Weber, Macy McAlister, Kate Simpson, Daniel Kalinin, Emma Gould, Sophie Miller, Jacob Gregory, and Evan Black! Tonight, we are blogging to you from California and we SOOOO happy to be here!
Logan here- we spent the night driving from Las Vegas to Santa Monica, talk about a long commute. As the co-pilot for shift 2, I stayed up with Kevin, our motor coach operator, and made sure to keep him company so he could stay. I was up from 4am-7am as we arrived in California and watched the sun rise over the beautiful city of Los Angeles. We got to Santa Monica at around 7:30 am and were so stoked to hit the beach and pier!
When we arrived, our cooks, the Bashfuls, prepared us hash browns and french toast sticks- a perfect start to a perfect day by the ocean. Some of us explored the pier first, while others headed straight for the ocean! On the pier we conquered the rollercoaster, rode the ferris wheel, and ate delicious burgers and ice cream. While some participants relaxed, others let their competitive sides come out during games of beach volleyball! We have been extremely lucky with the heat, with California only being in the 80s today with a breeze that hit the spot!
Hi guys, its Macy. A big group of us participated in a beach volleyball tournament, with the boys’ team coming out with a DUB. Others practiced some exercises, one example being a rope climb. Some failed while others displayed their impressive upper body strength. On the Santa Monica pier there were various carnival rides including a Ferris wheel, roller coaster, and bumper carts. Several of us enjoyed the scenic views provided.
After our beach day we all got into the bus/van and traveled for about 2.5 hours to Anaheim, CA… where we will be staying for the night.
